Carmen Vera Garcia is an Advisor at the European Investment Bank (EIB), where she is in charge of developing and implementing Gender-Smart Financing programmes. Her work focuses on collaborating with financial institutions across the EU to enhance access to finance for women entrepreneurs and to advance women’s representation in the financial sector. With extensive experience in international project management, Carmen has successfully implemented assignments aimed at fostering SME finance and inclusive finance globally. She’s also an advocate for women’s leadership and economic empowerment, contributing to numerous public interest initiatives in these areas.
