The ESG mirage: Data, disclosure, and the new reality

Economic headwinds, market volatility, and rising geopolitical tension are pushing investors toward safety. Meanwhile, political backlash—especially in the U.S.—is calling time on ESG as we knew it. Some say ESG is over. Regulation says otherwise.
In this session, I’ll explore what happens when the ESG story loses momentum, but reporting obligations only grow. From Article 8 and 9 reclassifications to SFDR, EET, and the widening ESG data gap, I’ll examine how asset managers can maintain credibility, clarity, and compliance—even as long-held norms fracture.
