Maximilian Richter, Sustainability Senior Manager, PwC Luxembourg

Maximilian Richter is a Senior Manager in PwC Luxembourg’s Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Advisory practice, which he joined in 2016. Since the introduction of SFDR in 2021, he has led Sustainable Finance engagements for Asset & Wealth Management clients across Luxembourg and the DACH region, advising ManCos, AIFMs and Portfolio Managers — from large fund platforms to boutique managers — on the practical implementation of SFDR, the EU Taxonomy and related disclosure requirements, including the integration of sustainability risk into governance and due diligence frameworks.

Maximilian is a member of PwC’s Sustainable Finance focus group and a regular speaker on sustainable finance regulation at internal and external industry events. Alongside his sustainable finance work, he draws on broader experience in regulatory- and business change projects grounding his sustainable finance advice in the wider operational and governance realities Luxembourg fund managers face.
